Veterans aboard the eighth Sullivan-Hartogh-Davis Post 731 Waterloo Honor Flight on September 17 could not have asked for a better day to travel to Washington, D.C. and tour several national memorials. On a beautiful, nearly cloudless day in the nation’s capital, 89 Korean War and World War II veterans from eastern Iowa visited the national World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Lincoln, and Marine Corps memorials. They also visited Arlington National Cemetery, where they witnessed the Changing of the Guard ceremony. For additional photos, see page 8.
